The Moshe Dayan Hub is a 120,000 sq.m. multi-modal center that will reshape how people move through and engage with Rishon LeZion — combining transit infrastructure, public space, and urban development into a landmark of connectivity.
Located at the Moshe Dayan Interchange along the Ayalon Highway, the hub will integrate three new light rail lines (Red, Green, and Brown), an expanded Israel Rail station, and multiple bus routes. With a projected daily capacity of 50,000 passengers, it will serve as a regional anchor in the future public transportation network. But the hub is more than just infrastructure — it’s a civic space. A central plaza, wide pedestrian promenades, and new public amenities will link both sides of the city, enhancing accessibility and shaping a shared urban identity. Mixed-use development and high-quality recreational areas will activate the site beyond commuting hours, supporting long-term growth and community use. The project, designed in collaboration with Skidmore, Owings & Merrill (SOM), positions Rishon LeZion as a key node in Israel’s transportation future. Through layered connectivity and a focus on public realm, the Moshe Dayan Hub will define a new standard for mobility, place-making, and urban vitality.
