This new building for the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance is designed to foster collaboration across disciplines — providing high-quality spaces for performance, rehearsal, and creative exchange.
As the existing campus lacked proper performance venues, we partnered with Hollwich Kushner (HWKN) to design a dedicated Inter Arts Center that could meet the Academy’s evolving needs. At the heart of the building is a central double-height space that connects all rooms and studios, encouraging interaction between music, dance, and vocal departments. The program includes a 115-seat recital hall, a 90-seat jazz and improvisation studio, a 60-seat opera and vocal studio, a dance studio, and 14 practice and teaching rooms. The building’s shared spaces are just as vital — offering informal zones where students and disciplines meet. With this project, we aimed to create more than a facility — we created an environment where sound, movement, and creativity flow freely, and where the Academy’s energy becomes fully visible and tangible.
